Upcoming DC Cruise to Celebrate Cherry Blossoms and Japanese Pop Culture

Maid Café, Cosplay and a Bento Box Lunch to highlight the newest T-MODE event in April 2023

ALEXANDRIA, Virginia (November 28, 2022) — T-MODE, one of the most prominent and prolific Japanese pop-culture event organizers in the D.C. Metro, is pleased to announce the addition of the T-MODE Cherry Blossom Cruise to the 2023 event calendar.

From 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on April 8, 2023, attendees will board the Cherry Blossom Riverboat in Old Town Alexandria to experience a private cruise featuring a Maid Cafe, Cosplay, Bento Box Lunch and more.

During the exclusive adult only event, participants can enjoy the community and fellowship alongside other aficionados of Japanese pop culture.

And the event is timed to align with the blossoming of the area’s world-famous Cherry trees, transporting guests across the world as they imagine those same blossoms on the other side of the globe.

Event admission includes:

  • 3-hour cruise aboard the Cherry Blossom Riverboat

  • Maid Cafe experience featuring Pixel Pop Maid Café

  • Catered Bento Box Lunch with special Cherry Blossom Dessert

  • Scenic Old Town Alexandria as your backdrop for extraordinary photos

  • Cosplay, Live DJ, fun activities and surprises

The Pixel Pop Maid Café will surely be a highlight of the day as the maids serve up smiles, fun, and lots of cuteness through song, dance and games inspired by the cafes of Akihabara.

And making the café even more memorable, Pixel Pop will add a video game-themed twist to create a cafe that turns the attendees into T-MODE Heroes.

Event tickets are set to go on sale December 1.
