Thanks for Making T-MODE 2012 a Success!

The title of this post says it all. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! T-MODE 2012 was AWESOME! It was great looking around the convention and seeing so many happy, smiling faces.

It was even more amazing that we ran out of our signature dog tag badges and had to rely on paper badges. I don’t want to get into the habit of counting our attendance each year because that’s not what we’re about, but we certainly did grow.

From all of us at T-MODE, thank you for celebrating our 5th convention and for making this a truly unforgettable and special year.

So what’s next? T-MODE 2013 of course! We’re already working on preparations for next year’s event. Help make T-MODE 2013 an even bigger year. Spread the word about us and tell everyone you know about T-MODE. Upload your photos and videos to the T-MODE Facebook page so people can see what a great time you had, and be sure to leave your feedback and recommendations. Word of mouth from our attendees is the best way to promote the convention.

And don’t disappear just because T-MODE 2012 is over. We’re going to be very active all year long leading up to T-MODE 2013. Follow us on our soon to be relaunched Twitter page, and subscribe to our newsletter and RSS feed. We also have fun plans for the T-MODE YouTube channel and other surprises throughout the year. So don’t go anywhere. I’ve never been more proud to say this phrase: See you next year!

T-MODE Parental Consent Form

The Parental Consent Form is available for download. The form will also be available on site at the convention. All attendees under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete the form and present it when picking up their membership materials at registration.

Birthday Party at T-MODE!

Webcomics creators Sarah and Kevin of Interrobang Studios are hosting a birthday party at T-MODE 2012 and you’re invited!

Sarah’s birthday is just before T-MODE, while Kevin’s birthday is just after it. And this year, T-MODE celebrates its 5th birthday!

The T-MODE Birthday Party is on Saturday, April 21st from 3pm-5pm. All T-MODE attendees are welcome to join the festivities. Play party games, eat cake and have tons of fun. Sarah and Kevin are even handing out awesome prizes. And did I say we’ll have cake? No, it’s not a lie!

T-MODE @ the 52nd Sakura Matsuri Festival

T-MODE will be back at the Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival for another year. Join us Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM at 12th Street & Pennsylvania Avenue NW.

Visit our booth in J-Pop Land for some matsuri fun and games. T-MODE guests Mario Bueno will stop by our booth for a song or two, Libera Edge will be on hand with a dance number, Chin Hamaya will perform on the 11th Street Stage, and DJ Masa will be spinning Japanese music at the festival all day long. We’ll also have T-MODE 2012 3-Day Memberships available at the $45 rate.

Come out and celebrate 100 years of Japan’s gift of cherry blossom trees to America!

Announcing More Guests for T-MODE 2012

Our T-MODE 2012 guest list has grown! We’re happy to announce DJ Masa and accomplished chiptune musician Inverse Phase are returning once again to share their musical talents with T-MODE attendees.

Enjoy cosplaying with AdrenoSol and LuluBird, along with a special appearance by former T-MODE 2008 cosplay guest Fire Lily. Performance troupe Libera Edge is excited to entertain you with music, dance and song. Finally, Chin Hamaya will grace our stage with a lively cultural performance.

Vote for Games in the T-MODE Arcade

T-MODE couldn’t be more excited to have an arcade this year! The T-MODE Arcade will have a great selection of vintage games available all weekend long. Enjoy retro gaming action with Ms. Pac-Man, NeoGeo, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and other arcade classics.

Now all we need is for you to vote for the arcade games you would like to play. The two games with the most votes will appear in the T-MODE Arcade. Get your votes in now and have a say in what you get to play!

Our online pre-registration period has come to an end. Thanks to everyone who registered early for T-MODE 2012! It really does help us with convention planning. If you weren’t able to pre-register, don’t worry. You can still purchase 3-Day Memberships at the convention for $50, as well as 1-Day Memberships for $35.

Remember, you can also continue to reserve rooms at the Hilton Washington DC/Rockville outside of T-MODE’s official hotel block. Just email our Hotel Liaison to let us know.
